Ten worshipers were killed on Saturday when their catholic building collapsed on celebrants of thé Easter vigil service in Nigeria, According to local media reports. The incident happened at Adamgbe, in the mboyongu district of the vandeikya local government area of central benue state. Sources say mid way into service the pillars of the building gave in and the roof came down to the worshipers, killing 10 on the spot while many others sustained severe injuries.
More than 10 bodies have been pulled out of the building with many still trapped, crying and wailing for help.
Some eye witnesses say that the casualty figures could be much higher.
The incident occured at the Easter retreat organised by the deeper life bible church at the church camp site located at eyenikorin, an ilorin suburb.
The rain storm was said to have caused a pillar at the camp to collapse and fall on the worshipers.
To make matters worse, the church pastor who rushed to the hospital on his motor cycle to donate blood rammed into an oncoming vehicle and died on his way to the hospital.
Something is definitely wrong somewhere.
