A Chicago jury has convicted Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson's former brother-in-law of murdering her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew in what prosecutors described as an act of vengeance by a jilted husband. The jury convicted 31-year-old William Balfour on three-counts of first degree murder on Friday, after three days of deliberations. He faces a mandatory sentence of life in prison. Hudson eyes filled with tears and she shook her head and bit her lip as the verdict was read. Prosecutors had to build an overwhelming circumstantial case tying Balfour to the killings because there were no surviving witnesses. Defense attorneys claimed the killings could have been related to Hudson's brother's alleged drug dealing. Hudson was the first witness called and attended every day of testimony in the trial. Prosecutors said Balfour killed the three victims in a jealous rage after his then-estranged wife, Hudson's sister Julia Hudson, refused to reconcile with him. Defense attorneys argued the evidence tying Balfour to the October 2008 killings is circumstantial. With no surviving witnesses to the Oct. 24, 2008, slayings, prosecutors built a circumstantial case against Balfour by calling 83 witnesses over 11 days of testimony. Witnesses said he threatened to kill the entire family if Julia Hudson spurned him. Balfour's attorneys proposed an alternate theory: that someone else in the crime-ridden neighborhood on Chicago's South Side targeted the family because of alleged crack-cocaine dealing by Jennifer Hudson's brother, Jason Hudson. During the 30 minutes in which they called just two witnesses, however, they presented no evidence to support that theory. The killings occurred the morning after Julia Hudson's birthday, and prosecutors said he became enraged when he stopped by the home and saw a gift of balloons in the house from her new boyfriend. After his estranged wife left for her job as a bus driver on the morning of Oct. 24, 2008, prosecutors say Balfour went back inside the home with a .45-caliber handgun and shot Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, in the back; he allegedly then shot Jason Hudson, 29, twice in the head as he lay in bed. Prosecutors said Balfour then drove off in Jason Hudson's SUV with Julia's son, Julian King, and shot the boy several times in the head as he lay behind a front seat. His body was found in the abandoned vehicle miles away after a three-day search.

Bieber says his crazy schedule makes it hard to live like a normal teenager–but adds that he recognizes that it's helped him connect with his equally hard-working girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
"That's part of the reason we get on so well," he shares. Last fall, Bieber opened up to Us Weekly about trying to find creative ways to fit his schooling into his jam-packed schedule. "My mom lives with me, and then my tutor," he explained about his living situation. "Because I do school everyday so it just makes sense."

TB Joshua banned from cameroun.

The Cameroonian government has blacklisted Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, saying that he is an agent of satan hoodwinking unsuspecting members of the public with "diabolical miracles".

Cameroon Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Henri Eyebe Ayissi, in an official communiqué he issued titled: "The Devil Is In the House", described T.B. Joshua as a "son of the devil" pretending to be "a man of God."

The minister warned hundreds of Cameroonians, trooping to Lagos, South West Nigeria, for miracles in Joshua's church, to desist from taking the trip or face the consequences, as the country will not stand by them.

The communiqué written in French read in part: "The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns those who by naivety or deception of Emmanuel TV's captivating images, or even those who by hopelessness, envisage taking the pilgrimage to Pastor T.B. Joshua's Synagogue Church Of All Nations in Lagos, that
they will do so at their own risk.

"The Cameroonian Government warns these pilgrims that they will face the consequences alone. This is motivated by the painful and shameful fact that Cameroonian men and women, in search of deliverance and blessings, once in that church,find themselves in bestial and pitiable conditions.

"Women are Molested; pilgrims dispossessed of their
belongings by armed robbers and left to sleep on the streets at the mercy of gangs. Many cases of assassinations have even been recorded. And this is without other cases that are not recorded at the Cameroonian Embassy in Lagos with the victims too ashamed to narrate their infernal odysseys once
they are out of Hell," the minister said.

Bishop oyedepo fails to show up in court for slapping a young lady

The founder of the Living Faith Christian Church International, David Oyedepo, failed to appear in court on Wednesday when the suit filed against him for slapping a young lady during a church service last year was mentioned at the Ogun State High Court.

A Lagos-based lawyer, Robert Igbinedion,had filed a suit on behalf of the lady, seeking an award of N2billion as "general and exemplary damages"against the popular pastor.

Oyedepo's lawyer, Agboamwu,who showed up on behalf of the first and second respondents, namely Oyedepo and the church, pleaded for time to file a defence.

The court granted the defence five days to respond to the suit.

Igbinedion had filed for the enforcement of the lady's fundamental rights to freedom from inhuman and degrading treatment, human dignity, fair hearing, and freedom from discrimination.

Justice Ojo, who heard the case at Court 1, High Court, Sango-Ota in Ogun State, however, adjourned hearing till June 1, 2012.

Igbinedion had earlier condemned Oyedepo's action, referring to the altar call for witches to come out as "illegal".

Last year, Oyedepo gave the lady a slap during a church service when she claimed to be "witch for Jesus" after responding to an altar call made by Oyedepo for witches to come out.

Igbinedion described the labelling of witches as "unconstitutional, and a breach of Section 34 of the Constitution of Nigeria, African Charter on Human and People's Right, and United Nations Universal Declaration on Human Right".

The suit is asking the court to compel Oyedepo to issue a self-signed public apology to the young lady, which should be published in two national dailies and aired on one international satellite television station.

The suit also seeks that a similar altar call be made for corrupt government officials, bribe-giving contractors, drug dealers and other category of sinners who are members of the Oyedepo's church.

Ex eagles striker rashidi yekini dies in herbal home

Former Super Eagles striker Rashidi Yekini Friday died in a herbal home in his home town Irra, Oyun Local Government of Kwara State after a prolonged illness. Sources said the former Sporting Gijon striker was initially flown to the United Kingdom for treatment.

But when his health did not improve, he was flown back home to be treated with local medicine before he eventually gave up the ghost on Friday evening.

His death was confirmed by the Kwara State
Commissioner for Information, Tunji Moro-nfoye, who comes from the same community with the sizzling striker who was the first Nigerian to be crowned African Footballer of the Year in 1993.

Yekini also holds the record of the highest goal scorer in the national team soring 37 goals in 58 appearances.

Meet the new blackberry 10 alpha hands-on.

Specs for the BlackBerry 10 phone haven't surfaced yet, so all that's known for sure about the device is that it's got 16GB of internal storage, rear and front-facing cameras, and micro HDMI output.

This particular phone won't ever go on sale to the general public. RIM is putting this first device into the hands of developers so that they can start preparing apps for the arrival of the first consumer device later this year. Expect to see something a little more stylish at that point — like the renders of the BlackBerry London that surfaced earlier this year.

Other leaks have shown an all-touch BlackBerry phone with the more angular lines of the Porsche Design P9981. Whatever it ends up looking like, it's going to be very interesting to see how well RIM can execute the QNX OS on a smaller screen.

Jobless Man gets mum and sister pregnant in Lagos.

The sleepy Ibusa community in Asaba, Delta State, has been thrown into confusion and palpable tension with the news that a 26-year-old man, simply called Ugochukwu, impregnated his mother and sister, identified as Mary, in Lagos.

Ugochukwu, also popularly called Peter by people in the area, was said to have left his mother, identified as Cecilla, to work in a Lagos hotel while he was just 12 years old. It was gathered that Ugochukwu's father later died and his mother, Cecillia, subsequently remarried a Yoruba man (name
withheld) in Lagos.

Ugochukwu later got admitted to the Lagos polytechnic, where he reportedly met and started dating one Mary, who turned out to be his step-sister (being the girl his mother had for the Yoruba man his mother remarried in Lagos) . Their relationship
blossomed and on graduation they thought of formal
introduction to both families.

Meanwhile, Ugochukwu's mother was said to have dumped the Yoruba man after three children and turned into a commercial sex worker around Allen Avenue in Lagos. One night, Ugochukwu had reportedly gone out with a friend to a hangout, where they got themselves drunk and retired to a
hotel to pass the night . It was there he picked his mother (unknown to him) and had sex with her without a condom.

The rest, as they say, is history... Ugochukwu's mother is pregnant for him and his girlfriend (stepsister) is pregnant for him aswell.
